Is a Camping Safari the Best Option?

If you are a lover of the great outdoors or an adventurer on a budget you are probably all to familiar with camping. You know about the thin mattress and the so-so night of sleep, you know ALL about bugs and creepy crawlies, that special tent smell and cooking on an open fire and all the hard work that goes into keeping things in order and on track. Its not your best, but at least it gets you out and away from it all.

Taking African wildlife into consideration when planning a camping safari can be even more challenging!

On the other hand ... your partner loves it all! You are not looking for five star luxury but perhaps you would like to spend your outdoor time just a little less rough and you do not want to fight about it?

A camping safari might not be everyone's ideal holiday

If you are at the point where the next trip into the wide open outdoors is being planned, and the thought of another stint of roughing it is more than you can contemplate, but you do not want to leave your partner over it, then Chishakwe Stable Block might just provide the perfect compromise!

6 tables (yes, horses used to live in them back in the day and before all the lion) each with two beds and an ensuite loo and basin provide a comfortable (but not pampering, so your partner can still feel like they are roughing it a little) alternative to a tent (and a hole in the ground). The outdoor shower block has hot water on tap but still has a great view of the sky.

You still get to cook on a fire in the open air "barn" facility opposite the stables but running water is close by for filling your kettle and there are tables and benches that make it easier to eat. You still get to sit around a fire under the stars at night before heading to a bed with real sheets.

Most important of all; your version of a camping safari offers you a no frills option with less discomfort and hard work and full access to a stunningly scenic wild area where you can enjoy all the bush has to offer.

It is the perfect solution ... all the best bits of a camping safari, without all the others.
